Pakistan’s rising tennis star, Mikaeel Ali Baig, has stormed into the final of the ITF Junior Tennis Tournament J-30 Colombo Sri Lanka after a stunning victory over Singapore’s Luke Koh, 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 the tournament’s No.1 seed and world-ranked No-442.
Mikaeel, who was a key member of Pakistan’s Junior Davis Cup team that triumphed in the Pre-Qualifying event of Asia Oceania in Kuching, Malaysia, last week.
Mr. Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi- President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mikaeel on his outstanding win. He praised the remarkable progress of Pakistan’s junior players, emphasizing that their international performances reflect a promising future for tennis in Pakistan. “This is a breath of fresh air for Pakistan tennis, and I am confident that our junior players will continue to make the nation proud,” he said.
