Islamabad (Syed Javed Hassan Shah): In a landmark development aimed at improving healthcare access for the local business community, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bhara Kahu Trade Union. The agreement, signed in a graceful ceremony in Islamabad, promises special discounts on medical services for traders from all eight zones of Bhara Kahu and opens the door for various collaborative community health initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MoU was signed by Yasir Khan Niazi, CEO of GAK HealthCare, and Qamar U Zaman Abbasi, Patron-in-Chief of the Bhara Kahu Trade Union. The presidents and general secretaries of all major zones, including Raja Atif Hameed, Chaudhry Kamran Gujar, Sheikh Liaquat, Raja Zahid, Qamar Abbasi, Chaudhry Sagheer, and Noor Haider, also added their signatures in support. Chaudhry Afzal, Raja Masood Janjua, and Omer Khayam from the trade union were among the distinguished attendees at the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this agreement, ANTH will offer significant discounts to union members and their families, alongside launching awareness sessions and medical camps focused on preventive healthcare and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. These joint efforts are aimed at educating the community on the importance of early detection and disease prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key highlight of the initiative is the introduction of the Sehat Tahafuz Card\u2014a new healthcare offering from ANTH that provides comprehensive health and life coverage worth millions of rupees against a nominal annual premium. This card, exclusively extended to trade union members, has been met with high appreciation for its potential to ease the financial burden of healthcare for countless families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the ceremony, Yasir Khan Niazi emphasized the hospital\u2019s strong connection with the local community, stating, \u201cBhara Kahu has the first right on our hospital. It is our home ground, and we are committed to making quality healthcare accessible to its people.\u201d He further announced his intent to explore more avenues of cooperation, suggesting the formation of a collective welfare fund from area businesses. \u201cBy pooling resources, we can provide essential medical services to the underprivileged at subsidized rates or even at no cost through Sehat Tahafuz Card,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trade union leaders expressed heartfelt gratitude to Yasir Niazi and the hospital team for their generous gesture and community-oriented vision. They reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration for the well-being of Bhara Kahu\u2019s residents.
