Karachi (Special Correspondent): Engro Holdings Limited is delighted to announce that Engro Corporation Limited has secured all approvals for its strategic partnership with Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (\u201cJazz\u201d) and its parent company, VEON Group. Through a Scheme of Arrangement, Jazz\u2019s shareholding in Deodar (Private) Limited \u2013 which houses its telecom infrastructure assets \u2013 will vest with Engro Connect (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Engro Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In line with previous disclosures, this amalgamation marks a signi cant private-sector investment in Pakistan, and with all approvals secured, millions of Pakistanis are now poised to bene t from the ef ciencies of shared infrastructure.
By accessing Engro\u2019s combined portfolio of over 14,000 towers, all Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) will have equal access to a high-quality, nationwide infrastructure platform. This will enable them to reduce capital and operating expenditures, focus on enhancing service quality, and pass cost ef ciencies onto customers \u2013 helping millions more Pakistanis come online.
