{"id":7130,"date":"2025-10-28T21:43:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T21:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/capitalnewspk.pk\/en\/?p=7130"},"modified":"2025-10-29T09:45:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T09:45:25","slug":"murad-shah-launches-digital-sindh-job-portal-for-transparent-efficient-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/capitalnewspk.pk\/en\/2025\/10\/28\/murad-shah-launches-digital-sindh-job-portal-for-transparent-efficient-recruitment\/","title":{"rendered":"Murad Shah launches digital `Sindh Job Portal\u2019 for transparent, efficient recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KARACHI (Special Correspondent): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, at the launch of the Sindh Job Portal (SJP), stated that in line with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto\u2019s slogan, \u201cBenazir Aaie hae &#8211; Rozgar laie hae,\u201d (Benazir has come \u2013 she has brought employment), the provincial government has expanded testing options to make recruitment more transparent, accessible, and technology-driven.<br><br>\u201cIf a candidate fails, they can retake the test multiple times,\u201d he said, adding that the first attempt will be fully funded by the Sindh government.<br><br>The Chief Minister noted that around 326,000 candidates have passed the test so far, and from now on, tests will be held every month. \u201cResults will be available immediately after the test,\u201d he added.<br><br>Murad Shah explained that all documents &#8211; including matriculation certificates, CNICs, and domicile &#8211; will be uploaded to the IB portal, forming a comprehensive database of qualified candidates. \u201cOnce a candidate passes the test, they can apply for available government jobs,\u201d he stated.<br><br>The Chief Minister highlighted that the portal connects the Sindh government with youth seeking employment. \u201cWe have linked both together through this platform,\u201d he said.<br><br>Each government department will upload vacancy requirements on the portal, updating dynamically as new positions open. \u201cFor example, if the Education Department decides today that it needs 100 junior clerks across Sindh, the Finance Department will immediately review funding availability,\u201d Murad Shah explained.<br><br>Mr Shah noted that previously, jobs were often announced before securing financial approval, causing delays. \u201cNow, the entire process will be online and synchronised. The Finance Department will approve positions, and all job details will be posted,\u201d he said.<br><br>The Information Department will issue advertisements, and \u201con the same day the ad appears in newspapers, it will also be displayed on the job portal.\u201d He emphasised that this integrated system will make recruitment faster, fairer, and more transparent for Sindh\u2019s youth.<br><br>The Sindh government has launched the Sindh Job Portal (SJP) &#8211; a modern, fully digital platform to ensure transparency, efficiency, and merit-based recruitment across all provincial departments. The initiative, developed by the Science and Information Technology Department and Sukkur IBA University, marks a significant step toward e-governance and digital public service.<br><br>Initially created for Grades 5 to 15, the Sindh Job Portal now covers all grades, serving as a one-stop solution for job seekers and government departments. The portal is linked to the Screening Test Initiative &#8211; a joint effort with Sukkur IBA University for recruitment tests from BPS-5 to BPS-15.<br><br>These screening tests, conducted at Matriculation, Intermediate, and Graduation levels, have drawn hundreds of thousands of candidates. A total of 326,368 applicants have passed the tests in 2023 and 2025 and are now eligible to apply directly for government jobs through the portal. The initiative has ensured transparency and saved candidates time and expenses by eliminating repeated testing.<br><br>Sindh Job Portal: Through automation, the recruitment cycle on the Sindh Job Portal has dropped from 12 months to just one. The platform offers end-to-end digital processing &#8211; from job advertisement and application to interview scheduling, offer letters, medical and police verifications, and final appointment.<br><br>The main features include AI-based job matching, voice-enabled job search in Urdu and English, and multilingual accessibility in Urdu, Sindhi, and English. The portal prevents duplicate employment. It&#8217;s integrated with the Health Department and Sindh Police Special Branch for online verification of medical and character records, with candidates receiving updates via SMS, email, and in-portal notifications.<br><br>The registration process is simple and secure. Applicants can register with their CNIC and mobile number, complete verification through a one-time password, and access their data from the STS portal.
