ISLAMABAD (Zahid Yaqoob Khawaja): Director Colleges, Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Dr Ehsan on Wednesday said the successful conclusion of \u2018Summer Fiesta 2026\u2019 reflected the commitment of educational institutions to promoting creativity, technology, confidence-building and lifelong learning for the holistic development of students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was addressing the ceremony of Summer Fiesta 2026, organised by the FDE at Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) G-11\/1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPrograms like Summer Fiesta play a pivotal role in unlocking students\u2019 hidden potential and preparing them for future challenges,\u201d Dr Ehsan said. \u201cSkills such as self-defense are essential for every female student.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Principal IMCG G-11\/1 Raheela Awais said the program was aimed at providing students an effective platform to learn, create and explore new skills during summer vacations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around 400 students participated in courses that commenced in June,July including 180 female students who enrolled in the Self-Defense Training course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other courses included Software Development and Canva introduced students to digital designing and modern technology, while Creative Embellishment Arts provided an opportunity to refine artistic skills.
Self-Defense Training remained the highlight of the fiesta. The session was supervised by Senior Coach Qamar Nadeem, General Secretary, Islamabad Full Contact Martial Arts Association (IFMA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
