Islamabad (Zahid Yaqoob Khawaja): The traders’ community of Rawalpindi and Islamabad has announced a solidarity rally with the Pakistan Armed Forces against Indian aggression. The rally will begin from F-9 Park and proceed to D-Chowk on Saturday, May 10. This announcement was made during a press conference at the National Press Club in Islamabad, led by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, President of the Islamabad Developers Association, along with Ajmal Baloch, President of All Pakistan Traders Association, Sardar Tahir Mahmood, President of Islamabad Estate Agent Association, former President Chaudhry Abdul Rauf, and other prominent trader leaders.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan emphasized that the business community is ready to make any sacrifice for the defense of the country. He added that overseas Pakistanis and local traders would provide all possible financial support in the event of a conflict. “This is the country for which 90,000 civilians and soldiers have sacrificed their lives. Our cowardly enemy is challenging a nuclear state, even using Israeli-made drones to attack. It is time to give a befitting response,” he declared.
He further announced that the rally would be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday from F-9 Park. He clarified that this rally is being organized solely for national unity, without any affiliation with any political party. “This is the army that stays awake while we sleep. We exist because this country exists,” he added.
Ajmal Baloch, President of the All Pakistan Traders Association, reiterated that the entire nation stands with the Pakistan Armed Forces. “If we act, India will not be able to show its face anywhere. This rally will demonstrate that we stand by our soldiers. It will be a historic gathering expressing unwavering solidarity with our forces. We have already removed Israeli products from our markets and are promoting local products. We are ready for any sacrifice, including martyrdom,” he asserted.
Sardar Tahir Mahmood, President of the Islamabad Real Estate Agent Association, stated that India has already received a response for its aggression. “Pakistan has acted as a responsible nation, but our citizens’ lives are precious, and India will have to pay for its actions. This will be a historic rally,” he emphasized.
Former President Chaudhry Abdul Rauf criticized Indian media’s false propaganda, noting that Pakistani media is free and mature. “We will assure our armed forces that we are ready to sacrifice our lives at their command. We reject any water aggression by India. We must unite as a nation,” he added.
Owais Satti, President of Small Traders Islamabad, expressed readiness to fight alongside the armed forces at the border, pledging a strong response to India.
