Islamabad (Syed Javed Hassan Shah): President Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haji Ayub Marriani, while welcoming the statement of US President Donald Trump regarding increasing trade with Pakistan, said that increasing trade with the United States will strengthen Pakistani exports, which will benefit the economy. He emphasized the need to further strengthen the trade partnership between the two countries. If trade relations between the US and Pakistan improve, it can accelerate Pakistan’s economic development, especially benefiting the textile, agriculture, and information technology sectors.

President Ayub Marriani urged the Government of Pakistan to intensify diplomatic efforts to improve trade agreements with the United States so that full advantage can be taken of this opportunity. The United States is an important trading partner of Pakistan, and if trade barriers between the two countries are removed, access for Pakistani products to the American market can be easier. Practical steps will be needed for this, for which deep trade negotiations will have to be held between both countries.
