Islamabad (Ghulam Murtaza): Fatima Jafri, a Pakistani citizen and resident of Karachi, Sindh, has appealed to the Pakistani authorities to protect her from the oppression of her husband, Umais Abdullah Siddiqui, who, after absconding from various courts, is now threatening to kill her from abroad.
Fatima Jafri stated that Umais Abdullah Siddiqui holds both American and Pakistani citizenship and is originally a resident of Karachi, Sindh, but is currently living in the United States. She said that he deceived her into marriage, took approximately Rs. 80 million (equivalent to around 300,000 US dollars), and then silently fled to the United States after committing this fraud.
Afterwards, he fraudulently married another woman from Chunian, a city in Kasur district. That woman is the mother of two daughters and a single mother.
On Fatima Jafri’s complaint, Punjab Police, in a raid conducted on the morning of August 6, 2025, arrested Umais Abdullah Siddiqui from a house in Lahore, where he had been hiding and was also found in the company of the said woman.
Umais Abdullah Siddiqui is wanted in Pakistan in several cases of financial fraud and forgery. He is accused of deceiving women, subjecting them to financial, mental, and health issues, abusing their children, and threatening to kill them. After lying in the courts of Sindh and Punjab, he fled to the United States, and now from there, he is issuing threats to kill Fatima Jafri and her children.
Fatima Jafri has appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, to provide protection to her and her children.
