Karachi (Special Correspondent) : Chery Master Pakistan has opened bookings for Chery Q at PKR 1.5 million, ahead of its official launch at the Pakistan Auto Show on 18 September 2026. The company will announce Q’s pricing and complete commercial details at PAPS.
YOUR Q is an upgrade, not a swap. Chery Q combines a generous cabin, distinctive urban design and everyday practicality in an all-electric package. At 1,811 mm wide, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase exceeding that of most C-SUVs in Pakistan and 152 mm of rear knee room, Q delivers exceptional interior space within an urban-friendly footprint.
The proposition extends across technology, safety and the driving experience. Q features electric rear-wheel drive, mobile app control, voice command and 6.6 kW V2L, alongside six airbags, L2 ADAS with 21 functions and a 540° high-definition camera. Automatic Parking, three driving modes and a 15.6-inch 2.5K display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay bring advanced functionality into everyday driving.
Q also changes the running-cost equation. Its 42.7 kWh battery, up to 400 km NEDC range and 9.4km/kWh efficiency make it particularly compelling for households with solar. At 20,000 km annually, a typical petrol vehicle can cost approximately PKR 488,000–569,000 in fuel, compared with approximately PKR 30,000 for Q on solar.
The proposition comes as Pakistan’s EV transition gathers pace. EV sales increased 257% between FY2024–25 and FY2025–26, rising from 1,839 to 6,560 units, while 17 GW of solar PV was imported into Pakistan in 2024, more than twice the previous year’s volume. Globally, electric mobility is also moving rapidly into the mainstream.
The shift has wider implications for Pakistan. The country’s petroleum import bill reached US$16.86 billion in FY2025–26, while cleaner mobility can help reduce dependence on imported fuel and contribute to better urban air quality.
