Islamabad (Syed Javed Hassan Shah): Datuk Paul Chua, President of the World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (WBPF) and Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (ABBF), has commended Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Rana Sanaullah and Director General of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Mr. Muhammad Yasir Pirzada for their efforts in eliminating unauthorized organizations and facilitating the successful elections of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation (PBBF).
In an official letter, President Paul Chua mentioned his recent meeting in Singapore with Mr. Sohail Anwar, the Secretary General of PBBF, during which they discussed various matters regarding the promotion and development of bodybuilding in Pakistan. He emphasized that the WBPF fully supports the affiliation of all provincial, governmental, semi-governmental bodies, associations, institutions, and technical committees that wish to be aligned with the duly recognized PBBF under the leadership of President Tariq Hassan.
The letter further stated that this move would be highly beneficial for athletes and officials who had previously been misled into associating with unrecognized or unauthorized organizations. Datuk Paul Chua underscored that all entities seeking affiliation must comply with the rules and regulations of PBBF, which now stands for integrity, transparency, and the well-being of athletes.
Datuk Paul Chua concluded by expressing his sincere gratitude to the Pakistan Sports Board for its continued support and valuable guidance in strengthening the sport of bodybuilding in the country.
