ISLAMABAD (Zahid Yaqoob Khawaja): Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, has described Pakistan’s Armed Forces as “the shield of the nation and the pride of the Muslim world,” while paying a magnificent tribute to Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, whom he called “not only one of Pakistan’s greatest military leaders, but one of the finest and most visionary commanders of the modern world.”
In his statement on Maarka-e-Haq, Sardar Yasir Ilyas said Pakistan is a peaceful and responsible state that has always preferred stability, wisdom and diplomacy, but whenever the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity or national honor has been threatened, the Armed Forces of Pakistan have answered every challenge with extraordinary courage, unmatched professionalism and historic determination.
He said the defining moments of May will forever remain a symbol of national unity and resilience, when the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its brave Armed Forces like an unbreakable wall of steel, proving that the bond between Pakistan and its defenders is stronger than any challenge or adversity.
Paying a glowing tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Sardar Yasir Ilyas said his leadership, strategic genius and unwavering courage have earned him immense respect not only within Pakistan but across the world.
“Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is not merely a great military commander of Pakistan; he is among the greatest military minds and most distinguished field commanders of the contemporary world. His visionary leadership, unmatched strategic wisdom and fearless resolve have elevated the honor, strength and prestige of Pakistan to extraordinary heights,” he said.
He added that under the command of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Armed Forces demonstrated remarkable operational superiority, strategic brilliance and iron discipline while maintaining composure, restraint and moral strength even under immense pressure.
“His leadership reflects the rare qualities of a historic statesman , soldier ,courage in adversity, clarity in strategy and absolute devotion to the nation. He has inspired unparalleled confidence among the people and immeasurable pride within the Armed Forces,” Sardar Yasir Ilyas stated.
Sardar Yasir Ilyas said the nation will forever remain indebted to its martyrs and veterans whose sacrifices continue to secure Pakistan’s peace, dignity and future generations.
“The world has witnessed the strength, professionalism and extraordinary capability of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. Their courage is legendary, their discipline exemplary and their commitment to the nation unshakable,” he remarked.
He concluded by saying that Pakistan remains powerful, resilient and undefeatable because of the unity of its people, the sacrifices of its martyrs and the exceptional leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
“Pakistan stood strong yesterday, stands stronger today and will rise even stronger tomorrow. Long live Pakistan and long live the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan,” he added.
