Lahore (Syed Javed Hassan Shah): Pakistan U19 is set to face England, Scotland and Zimbabwe in their Group B fixtures of the U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 at the Takashinga Sports Club in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare as the ICC announced the tournament schedule on Wednesday.
The 16-team tournament is set to run from 15 January to 6 February across five venues in Zimbabwe and Namibia and comprises of 41 50-over matches.
The teams are divided into four groups and top three from each group will advance to a Super Six Stage where 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six as per the previous edition’s format. The Super Six Stage is set to run from 25 January to 1 February.
The tournament’s semi-finals are scheduled to take place on 3 and 4 February in Bulawayo and Harare, respectively. The final is slated for 6 February at the Harare Sports Club, Harare. The three knockout fixtures have a reserve day too.
The teams are set to take part in warm-up matches between 9 to 14 January. Pakistan have won the tournament twice in 2004 and 2006, while they ended their campaign as runners-up in 1988, 2010 and 2014.
Pakistan bagged five wins on the trot in previous edition of the tournament before losing to Australia by one wicket in the semi-final, which turned out to be last over thriller.
